Bath face a scrum-half crisis after Nick Walshe suffered a knee injury.

Bath head coach John Connolly is facing a scrum-half crisis after Nick Walshe was injured during the 12-12 draw with Saracens.

With Martyn Wood already out for the remainder of the season following a neck operation, Connolly's options have been further diminished after Walshe suffered a knee injury.

Walshe's injury was the result of an incident in which Saracens prop Cobus Visagie received a yellow card and Connolly predicted the former Springbok will face a lengthy ban if the authorities choose to take action.

"We've got to see now how bad Nick Walshe is," said Connolly.

"It was foul play and his loss affected us greatly. It's out of our hands - it's now up to the judiciary."

"It might be rather warmer weather before he (Visagie) does anything more in a Saracens shirt."

On Wood's injury, Connolly added: "Wood has had an operation on an unstable joint in his neck, the result of a trampolining accident the other week.

"He's out for the season but we're delighted that he's healthy after the surgery."

Saracens coach Steve Diamond was also unhappy after watching his side fail to turn their dominance into victory at the Recreation Ground.

Fly-half Glen Jackson slotted a 78th minute penalty to ensure a draw but Diamond was frustrated his side did not collect all the points.

"As a game it wasn't pretty and I felt sorry for the crowd," said Diamond.

"Fair play to Bath, with so many players out they battled hard.

"Our mindset wasn't 100% but I was frustrated, not only with our performance but also with the referee and the way he dealt with them at our rolling mauls."
