Broster in for Sarries

Ben Broster has been called upon to replace Cobus Visagie at Kingsholm.

Gloucester v Saracens

Guinness Premiership, Kingsholm, Saturday November 26, KO 12.30

Saracens have made just one change for their intriguing mid-table clash with Gloucester.

The two sides have shown some strong form this season, with the Sarries currently enjoying their best spell of the season, remaining undefeated in their last seven matches.

Ben Broster is the man to be drafted into the starting XV, as Steve Diamond patches over the loss of Cobus Visagie to a one-week suspension.

Elsewhere, the side stays unchanged from the line-up that overcame Newcastle in their last outing, although there is a significant name on the bench.

New signing Hamish Mitchell is included in the 22, with head coach Mike Ford revealing to the club website: "Hamish did well in the second team game on Monday night and we've gone with two props on the bench because we are expecting a physical battle."

Gloucester meanwhile, are able to welcome England international Phil Vickery back into the fold, and the experienced prop will captain the side on Saturday.

The Cherry-and-Whites' impressive early season run is just showing signs of tailing off, after consecutive defeats to Leicester Tigers and London Irish.

Dean Ryan's men have struggled during the autumn period, which has seen them lose nearly a whole team to international duty or injury.

The midfield has been ripped apart as James Simpson-Daniel and Mike Tindall line up for England - not Gloucester this weekend.

However, it is the forwards that have been the most heavily affected, with experienced campaigners such as Mefin Davies, Patrice Collazo, Alex Brown, Jake Boer and Rob Thirlby all ruled out.

Ryan has highlighted the importance of Vickery's return, saying: "His experience will be of great value to us. He has an ability to lead on the field and the ability to make others listen to him when the pressure is on."

Further changes to the home side include the return of Andy Hazell at openside, Mark Cornwell at lock, and Anthony Allen at centre.
