Paulse recalled for Springboks

South Africa have named wing Breyton Paulse in their line-up to face France.

France v South Africa

International Match, Saturday November 26, KO 20.00

Wing Breyton Paulse returns to the South Africa line-up for the Springboks' tough trip to face France.

Paulse missed his country's last outing against Wales, a match that Jake White's men comfortably won 33-16.

Conrad Jantjes helped himself to an opportunist try at the Millennium Stadium, but he makes way for Paulse, who was a regular selection in the South Africa side during their Tri-Nations campaign.

White admitted experience was key to his decision to opt for the Clermont Auvergne wideman: "We'll have a good balance between senior players like Percy Montgomery and Paulse and junior players like the halfbacks."

The inclusion of the experienced winger is one of two changes to the Springbok line-up, which has the luxury of including Percy Montgomery after the full back was cleared of his first caution picked up in the Wales triumph.

Bryan Habana partners Paulse on the wing after his man-of-the-match display in Cardiff, and they will be supported by the midfield partnership of Jaque Fourie and Jean de Villiers.

That means that De Wet Barry has to settle for a place on the bench, along with late try-scorer Danie Rossouw.

The second alteration comes in the front row, where the powerful Os du Randt props up the scrum as the expense of Lawrence Sephaka, who does not feature in the 22.

France coach Bernard Laporte has made nine changes for Saturday's international against South Africa at the Stade de France.

An experimental France side beat Tonga 43-8 last week, but Laporte has reverted to virtually the line-up that beat Australia 26-16 earlier this month.

The missing men are fullback Julien Laharrague, who suffered a knee sprain against Tonga, and lock Fabien Pelous, who is suspended following a striking incident against the Wallabies.

Prop Pieter De Villiers comes in for Stade Francais teammate Sylvain Marconnet, with hooker Dimitri Szarzewski replacing former skipper Raphael Ibanez.

In the second row, Castres lock Lionel Nallet is preferred to Gregory Lamboley, while Stade Francais flanker Remy Martin comes into the back row and Sale number eight Sebastien Chabal misses out.

Scrumhalf Jean-Baptiste Elissalde and fly-half Frederic Michalak replace Dimitri Yachvili and Yann Delaigue, while on the wing Cedric Heymans replaces Toulouse team-mate Vincent Clerc.

David Marty has been left out of the team, while Saracens fly-half Thomas Castaignede moves to fullback to replace Laharrague.
