Dallaglio praises team-mates

Lawrence Dallagalio praised his Wasps team-mates despite defeat in France.

Wasps captain Lawrence Dallaglio cast aside his disappointment to praise his side after their hopes of Heineken Cup qualification disappeared with a 19-13 defeat to Toulouse.

The London side needed to win by an unlikely four tries to prolong their interest in the competition but Toulouse held all the attacking aces and ran out fairly comfortable winners in the end.

"I thought the boys showed real character with the way they came back and dominated for 60 minutes in a very partisan atmosphere but unfortunately we couldn't apply the finishing touch," said Dallaglio.

"We're obviously very disappointed with this match and especially the first 20 minutes that really cost us.

"We made basic errors in turning the ball over and suddenly we were 13 points down. You just can't afford to do that here.

"You have to give Toulouse credit for the way they played. We came back well but I don't like playing well and losing."

Toulouse are now one win away from guaranteeing a home draw in the quarter-finals thanks to a fourth win in five games.
