Corry: 'We want your title'

Martin Corry has warned Wales that England are coming to take their title.

England captain Martin Corry has fired a stern warning to his Welsh counterparts ahead of Saturday's Six Nations battle, roaring 'You've got something we want'.

Corry is yet to sample the sweet taste of success as England captain, after he was forced to witness Wales' Grand Slam-winning exploits, which began with victory over England.

The influential number eight would dearly love to get his hands on the Six Nations trophy this year, and he insists Saturday's Twickenham showdown will make-or-break that dream.

"Winning the championship is what we are setting out to do and we are playing Wales first up, which is great because they have got something we want," fired Corry.

"The first game of any championship is just massive, not only to win the competition but also for your own confidence.

"If you get off to a good start then things take shape. If you don't, then you are battling everything.

"If we lose on Saturday then the Grand Slam is out the window."

Corry is a certain starter at the weekend, after he confirmed his recovery from a niggling rib problem.

Coach Andy Robinson's main man had given the England camp a major scare at the start of the week, when he pulled out of Leicester's top-of-the-table clash with Sale, but he revealed there are no risks of a repeat scenario.

"I'm very confident of making the game on Saturday," confirmed Corry on Sky Sports News.

"I don't know if Robbo's got other plans but I trained earlier today and I feel totally fine and recovered."

Corry's presence means that former captain Lawrence Dallaglio will have to bide his time on the bench in anticipation of an international return, as he watches the Leicester man lead out the troops at Twickenham.

However, Corry believes there will be no confusion regarding leadership should the 33-year-old enter the fray, insisting Dallaglio's focus is solely on helping England.

"I don't know about the captaincy. Lawrence has been brought into the England squad, same as anyone else.

"He'll be sat there chomping at the bit, I know what it's like to be on the bench, you're just desperate to play.

"I'm sure Lawrence is exactly the same."
