Skirving commits to Sarries

Saracens number eight Ben Skirving has signed a two-year contract extension.

Saracens number eight Ben Skirving has signed a two-year contract extension.

Skirving came up through the Saracens academy and has committed to the Watford club until the end of the 2007-08 campaign.

The 6ft 4in back row has made the breakthrough this season to claim a regular starting spot for Sarries, as well as earning a call-up to the England A side.

"It's been a great year for me so far and for that to be recognised with a new contract has made it even better," said the 22-year-old. "The club is looking to move forward, so in that respect it was an easy decision for me to make as I want to be part of that."
