Trio set to face RFU hearings

Chris Hala'Ufia, David Flatman and David Paice cited for alleged dangerous tackles.

The RFU disciplinary committee are in for a busy day after three players from Premiership clubs were cited over the weekend.

The committee will sit down on Monday to discuss alleged dangerous tackles involving Harlequins forward Chris Hala'Ufia, Bath prop David Flatman and London Irish hooker David Paice.

The fact that two of the citings are from the London Irish against Bath clash will come as no surprise after a bad-tempered affair saw five players yellow carded.

Flatman, however, avoided the wrath of the referee on the day - although he will answer charges relating to an incident involving Irish fly-half Barry Everitt.

Paice was not as fortunate with his tackle on Bath No 8 Zak Feaunati not only sparking a mass brawl, but earning him a 10-minute spell on the sidelines and possibly a ban if found guilty.

Former Rotherham player Hala'Ufia was at the centre of the post-match wrath of Northampton coach Paul Grayson after Luke Myring was stretchered off with a "serious head injury".
