Forrester awaits injury verdict

James Forrester could miss England's clash with New Zealand due to injury.

James Forrester must wait until Monday to discover whether a knee injury will prevent any participation in England's opening autumn Test against New Zealand a week on Sunday.

The 25-year-old Gloucester number eight picked up the injury last week, and will consequently miss the side's Heineken Cup fixture against Agen this Saturday.

The extent of the problem will be discovered on Monday, with a bad prognosis also likely to sideline him for the All Blacks game, to be played at Twickenham.

"James has a knee injury which we expect to know the extent of next week when he sees a specialist on Monday," Gloucester head coach Dean Ryan said.
