Evans faces disciplinary chiefs
Sale prop Ben Evans has been cited for allegedly stamping on an opponent.
Injury-hit Guinness Premiership champions Sale Sharks have received a new blow after Ben Evans was cited for allegedly stamping on an opponent in the defeat to Newcastle.
The Sharks have already lost two front-rows in the last few days - with Stuart Turner suspended for his red card in the same game and Andrew Sheridan out for the season through injury - so any potential ban for the Wales prop will leave their resources stretched.
Sale, who are also without inspirational duo Charlie Hodgson and Jason White for the rest of the season, will now have to wait until Monday's disciplinary hearing to find out if Evans will be punished.
