Worcester have signed Fiji back row Netani Talei from Doncaster.

Netani Talei signs on at Sixways

Worcester have secured the capture of Fiji back row Netani Talei from National League One side Doncaster. The 24-year-old has won seven caps for Fiji and has agreed on a one-year contract to join Worcester for the start of next season. Talei, who can operate at flanker or at number eight, is currently away with Fiji at the Pacific Nations Cup, and will make a great signing for Worcester according to director of rugby Mike Ruddock.

Dynamic

"Netani is an exceptional athlete and is a very dynamic ball carrier, footballer and defender," said Ruddock. "He was outstanding recently for Fiji against Japan and his current form puts him firmly in contention for a World Cup slot with the Fijian team. "I did a large amount of homework on the best players in National One and his name came up repeatedly from my rugby contacts."
