Holah to make Ospreys move

Former All Black flanker Marty Holah is to sign a two-year contract with Ospreys.

Former New Zealand flanker Marty Holah has confirmed that he is about to join Welsh club Ospreys on a two-year deal. Holah, who has played 36 Tests for the All Blacks, will join compatriot Justin Marshall in south Wales when he leaves Waikato Chiefs. The 30-year-old last played for New Zealand against South Africa last year, losing his place to Richie McCaw while Chris Masoe has been preferred as cover. "While it is sad for me to leave Waikato and the Chiefs, it is the right time in my rugby career to make such a move," Holah said. He will join an exodus of past and present All Blacks stars who have left New Zealand for Europe. Current All Blacks Luke McAlister, Aaron Mauger, Byron Kelleher, Anton Oliver, Chris Jack and Carl Hayman will all move to Europe when the World Cup ends in October.
