Canada prop signs on at London Irish

Canada prop Casey Dunning has agreed a short-term deal at London Irish. The 27-year-old, who grew up in Australia, had played for Pertemps Bees in National One last season - but with the Exiles short of front row options because of World Cup commitments, he has signed as cover. Dunning had been part of Canada's Churchill Cup squad, however he failed to make it in to plans for France. London Irish director of rugby Brian Smith said: "Having adequate front row cover is essential as we start the new season. "Casey has played his rugby in both the northern and southern hemispheres and been awarded five caps for Canada. "He will provide essential support as we await the arrival of Clarke Dermody from New Zealand at the end of October."
