All Black relishing move to the Guinness Premiership

New Zealand centre Luke McAlister is ready to "make the most" of his new life in the Guinness Premiership when he teams up with Sale on November 1. The former Auckland Blues star will turn his back on the All Blacks at the end of the tournament in France, having agreed a two-year deal with the Sharks. And McAlister insists he is relishing the chance to prove himself in England.

Challenge

He said: "I don't make a decision and not go for it. Signing for Sale Sharks is something new, it's an exciting challenge and one I can't wait to get stuck into. "In life you don't get many opportunities like this so I am going to make the most of it." Although this might be a new opportunity for McAlister, the move to Manchester will not. McAlister's father played rugby league for Oldham, with Luke spending the ages between four and 13 years living in the area - during which time the talented sportsman was a member of Manchester United FC's academy.
