Former England Saxons international Dan Hyde has been hit with a 14-week suspension from rugby after testing positive for marijuana.
The loose forward, who now plays for Otley in National League Two, failed a random drugs test following his side's win over Southend on October 13.
Hyde, 29, was handed the ban at a hearing of a Rugby Football Union (RFU) Disciplinary Panel in Leeds on Monday.
"The suspension runs from November 5 to February 10, 2008 and includes playing, training with or being a member of a club, or acting in any official capacity within the sport," read an RFU statement.
"The RFU operates a robust in and out of competition domestic testing programme conducted and co-ordinated by UK Sport in compliance with the WADA International Standard for Testing."
Hyde, former of Leeds Tykes, was a member of England's Churchill Cup squad in 2003 and 2004 and also toured Japan.
