World Cup-winner ends exile by joining French outfit
Ben Cohen has teamed up with his 2003 World Cup-winning team-mate Steve Thompson after signing for Brive.
Cohen has been a free agent since buying out his contract at Northampton - with the England wing upset at missing out on the Saints captaincy.
The 29-year-old had been strongly linked to a move to Leicester Tigers, however Cohen has been convinced to swap the Guinness Premiership for a new life in France.
Former Saints team-mate Thompson has made a big impact after coming out of retirement to play for Brive - and he will now be joined by Cohen, who has agreed an 18-month deal.
Cohen said: "Brive have really welcomed me to the club. I'm a competitor and I will try to use my experience to help the club.
"It's a new challenge for me and I know that I will have to find my place in the team."
