Guinness Premiership, The Rec, Saturday 22 December, 2.15pm
Bath welcome back lock Danny Grewcock for their Guinness Premiership clash with Leeds on Saturday. The England international has been sidelined since injuring a wrist in Bath's clash with Harlequins back in October. He will renew his partnership in the second row with the returning Steve Borthwick after the club captain was rested last time out. Head coach Steve Meeham revealed that Grewcock is itching to get back in the action. "Danny has been very enthusiastic and light on his feet, and that is a great thing to see from a player with his amount of experience and the amount of rugby that he has played," he stated. "He just doesn't get bored with it. His enthusiasm is infectious." Elsewhere, Matt Stevens moves to tighthead prop to allow David Barnes to come in at loosehead, while Olly Barkley starts at 12 with Butch James retaining the number 10 shirt. Leeds include the returning Apo Satala in their line-up with the Fijian international wing who missed last weekend's narrow defeat at Calvisano whilst he was away with the British Army on Sevens duty in South Africa. Satala steps in for John Holtby who is laid low with a hamstring strain. The visitors have been forced into a couple of other changes with Tommy McGee replacing the injured Colin Noon in the front row and Pablo Bouza taking a place in the second row with Erik Lund having come down with 'flu. Joe Bedford is available again and gets the nod at scrum-half ahead of Darren Edwards. Bath: 15. Nick Abendanon, 14. Joe Maddock, 13. Alex Crockett, 12. Olly Barkley, 11. Matt Banahan, 10.
