Wales forward agrees to Sarries deal
Saracens have continued their recruitment process for next season by capturing Wales international Michael Owen on a two-year deal.
Sarries, who will be coached by Eddie Jones next season, have already agreed to bring England lock Steve Borthwick to Vicarage Road.
However they have bolstered their pack further with the 41 times capped former Wales captain.
Owen, who arrives at Saracens after spending five years at Newport Gwent Dragons, told the club's official website: "When the opportunity came up, I met with the club and I was very excited about the future for Saracens and wanted to be part of it.
"I'm really looking forward to the fresh challenge and the chance to compete in the Guinness Premiership and in Europe. I've also still got strong international ambitions for Wales and I'm sure that being part of the success at Saracens will help with that.
Entertaining
"Saracens are enjoying a very good season this year and have put themselves into a great position in all three competitions.
"The club has really moved forward in the past 18 months which makes it a very exciting place to be. They are also playing some very entertaining rugby which will suit my game. It is great to watch and I'm sure will be great to play in.
"It's a big decision to leave the Dragons and move my family but it's one which feels right. I've already played alongside a few of the Saracens guys as I was in the World XV squad two years ago with Andy Farrell, Fabio Ongaro and Cobus Visagie so there will be some familiar faces which will make things easier.
"However I won't be moving until the end of the season so for the next few months, all of my efforts will be focused on my performances for the Dragons."
