Bok winger ruled out with stress fracture to his shin

South Africa wing Akona Ndungane has been ruled out of the Bulls' clash with the Crusaders at Loftus Versfeld on Friday. Ndungane is recovering from a stress fracture in his shin and will most likely be ready for the game against the Sharks, according to Bulls team doctor Tommie Smook. Ndungane's fellow Boks winger Bryan Habana is also a doubt for the match - with Smook having to delay a decision on his fitness. Habana is currently in St Petersburg where he is attending the prestigious Laureus Awards with the Springboks. Habana has a shoulder injury with the Bulls set to assess his progress when he returns - although the speedster is likely to set be at least two weeks away from full fitness. Bakkies Botha, who is also in Russia, will not be considered for the match against the Crusaders due to his ankle injury but he will in all likelihood be fit for the contest against the Sharks.
