Sale lock Brent Cockbain has been handed a five-week ban for stamping while winger Rory Lamont will be sidelined for eight weeks.
Sharks also lose Scotland international Lamont for eight weeks
Sale lock Brent Cockbain has been handed a five-week ban after pleading guilty to stamping.
The former Wales international was cited for the offence during the Sharks' 22-15 home defeat by Worcester Warriors.
Cockbain did not deny the charges at an Rugby Football Union disciplinary hearing and will now have to wait until April 9 until he can resume playing.
Sale will also have to do without Rory Lamont, who has fractured his cheekbone and eye socket while playing for Scotland.
The winger was injured in the first half of the Calcutta Cup clash at Murrayfield when he collided with England full-back Iain Balshaw.
Lamont, who was out cold on the pitch before regaining consciousness in the changing rooms, will undergo surgery as soon as the swelling has gone down.
The Sharks expect the 25-year-old to be sidelined for eight weeks.
