Sevens star takes over from World Cup winning winger
IRB Player of the Year, Bryan Habana, has been ruled out of the Bulls' line-up to face the Chiefs in Rotorua on Saturday due to a recurrence of his shoulder injury. Coach Frans Ludeke therefore had to abandon any idea of playing Habana at full-back in place of Morné Steyn, who failed to convince against the Reds last weekend when the Bulls were thrashed 40-8. Habana will be replaced by South Africa's Sevens star Danwel Demas but the rest of the backline that played against the Reds has been left unchanged. Danie Rossouw - who moves to lock in place of young Wilhelm Steenkamp -combines with his Springbok team-mate Bakkies Botha in the second row while young fetcher Deon Stegmann will get an opportunity to hunt alongside Wikus van Heerden at flanker. Bandise Maku, who joined the team this week after flying out as a replacement for James van der Walt, is on the bench as replacement hooker. Hilton Lobberts also returns as a replacement in place of Dean Greyling and is one of five forwards on the bench. Bulls: 15 Morné Steyn, 14 Akona Ndungane, 13 JP Nel, 12 Wynand Olivier, 11 Danwel Demas, 10 Derick Hougaard, 9 Fourie du Preez (c), 8 Pedrie Wannenburg, 7 Wikus van Heerden, 6 Deon Stegman, 5 Danie Rossouw, 4 Bakkies Botha, 3 Rayno Gerber, 2 Derick Kuün, 1 Gurthro Steenkamp.Replacements: 16 Bandise Maku, 17 Werner Kruger, 18 Wilhelm Steenkamp, 19 Hilton Lobberts, 20 Heini Adams, 21 Stephan Dippenaar, 22 Dewald Potgieter.
