The Highlanders have named scrum-half Jimmy Cowan on the bench for the Super 14 clash against the Sharks in Dunedin on Friday.

In-form scrum-half replaced by Morland

The Highlanders have named in-form scrum-half Jimmy Cowan on the bench for the Super 14 clash against the Sharks in Dunedin on Friday. Toby Morland gets a rare start in place of Cowan and is joined by Niva Ta'auso in the Highlanders run-on side, who takes over centre duties from the injured Brett Mather. Hoani MacDonald switches from six to four and Chris King will start in place of Jamie Mackintosh. The Highlanders finally picked up their first win of the 2008 Super 14 season against the Lions and will be looking for another solid performance against the second-placed Sharks.
