Cardiff back agrees two-year deal to move to Edgeley Park

Sale Sharks have moved to add Nick McLeod to their squad for next season. The 25-year-old utility back has agreed a two-year deal to swap Cardiff Blues for Edgeley Park. And McLeod, who has been capped at Under-21 level for Wales, admitted that glowing praise from Lee Thomas and Ben Evans convinced him to make the move. He said: "I am really looking forward to joining Sale Sharks. I went to school with Lee Thomas and played alongside him at Cardiff Blues. "Both Lee and Ben Evans have told me a lot about the Sharks and they helped me make my mind up to move north. "I am hoping to make the trip up to Stockport in the coming weeks to meet up with the coaches and players." Sale head coach Kingsley Jones is pleased to have secured the signing of McLeod. He said: "I have known Nick for a few years and he has decided to join us as he wants to play regular rugby at the highest level. He can play either full-back or fly-half and is a very competent goal kicker. Nick will I am sure be a great addition to our squad."
