Leinster man named new Argentina skipper to take on Scotland.

Felipe Contepomi will captain Argentina in their first Test against Scotland at the Estadio Gigante de Arroyito in Rosario on Saturday. New coach Santiago Pelan has named his side for the first game of his reign since succeeding Marcelo Loffreda who left his post to join Leicester. Pelan has opted to name Leinster man Conteponi as the new skipper of the Pumas to replace Agustin Pichot, who retired after the last year's World Cup. Overmach Parma hooker Alvaro Tejeda has been selected to make his debut in the senior team, while Santiago Fernandez and Alfredo Lalanne will have to make their international debuts from the bench. Jose Maria Nunez Piossek is back in the Argentina team after he missed out on their successful World Cup campaign in France due to injury. "They (Scotland) are very strong. We know how they want to play us," Nunez Piossek told www.ole.com.ar. "We've played them quite a lot of times and the good thing is that we have some new tapes on Scotland to watch. We know them one by one, but they don't know all of us. "They don't know what they are going to come out with. They just know we are a tough team to pass who will hammer them." Argentina team: B Stortoni (Glasgow Warriors); JM Nunez Piossek (Huirapuca), G Tiesi (Harlequins), F Contepomi (Leinster, captain), T De Vedia (London Irish); F Todeschini (Montpellier Herault RC); N Vergallo (Jockey Club Rosario), JM Leguizamon (London Irish); M Ayerza (Leicester Tigers), A Tejeda (Overmach Parma), S Gonzalez Bonorino (Capitolina), I Fernandez Lobbe (Northampton Saints), E Lozada (Toulon), M Durand (Champagnat), J Fernandez Lobbe (Sale Sharks)
