New Zealand rugby referee Paul Honiss has brought an end to an 11-year international career in which he controlled a world record 46 tests.
Honiss, 45, became the world's most-capped rugby referee in 2007 when he surpassed the record of 44 tests held by Welshman Derek Bevan.
He controlled his final test in Brisbane last weekend, between Australia and France.
In all, Honiss controlled 211 first class matches, including 49 in the Super 14, and officiated at World Cups in 1999, 2003 and 2007.
"The past decade has been thoroughly enjoyable," Honiss said.
"I have been fortunate to be one of the first to pioneer our professional era of refereeing, control a vast amount of memorable matches, referee at great venues around the world and meet some of the world's most influential people of our time.
"I certainly look back on my career with fond memories."
