Winger determined to prove himself after signing contract extension

Andy Robinson has given struggling winger Marc Teague another six months to prove himself at Edinburgh. The 27-year-old has been blighted by nerve damage in his lower back since making the move up to the professional ranks with the Magners League giants in August. But, despite failing to make an appearance for Edinburgh this season, head coach Robinson has handed the winger a six-month contract extension. And Teague is now determined to prove himself at the top level, insisting his injury problems are a thing of the past. "I'm delighted that I've got until the end of the season to prove my worth," Teague said. "Unfortunately I've been hampered by a few injuries as my body has adjusted to the demands of being a professional rugby player. "But hopefully I'm all over that now and I can concentrate on pushing for a place in the first team. "I've never experienced a season like this before where I've been injured so much. Normally I hardly miss any games, so now I just want to play rugby for either Heriot's or the back-up team. "Then I can hopefully seize my chance at first team level when it arrives."
