London Irish hooker David Paice has been charged with two counts of allegedly verbally abusing match officials.
The England Saxon was sent off in the first half of his side's Guinness Premiership defeat to Harlequins on Saturday.
Paice was given his marching orders following an incident sparked by a scuffle with opposing prop Mark Lambert.
He has now been hit with a charge of "dissent/verbally abusing referee Tim Wigglesworth" which resulted in a red card and of "verbally abusing fourth official Dave Pearson" after being dismissed.
The 25-year-old will now appear before a disciplinary hearing in London on Tuesday.
The panel, comprising of RFU disciplinary officer His Honour Judge Jeff Blackett, Julian Morris and Jeremy Summers, will sit at the offices of the Judge Advocate General, Chancery Lane.
Paice could be hit with a lengthy ban - the low entry point for a player found guilty of one count of verbally abusing a referee is a six-week suspension.
