Former Lion appointed forwards coach
Former British and Irish Lions second row Jeremy Davidson is set to return to Ulster next season as their new forwards coach.
Davidson, who had two playing spells at Ravenhill, will replace Steve Williams in the role having earned his coaching colours at Dungannon and then in France at Castres.
Davidson, who played for Castres and become the first foreigner to captain them, won 32 caps for Ireland and went on two tours with the Lions.
And Ulster head coach Matt Williams believes Davidson will become a valuable member of his backroom staff.
"Jeremy has already got some experience in coaching locally from his time as head coach at Dungannon and has gained considerable experience at Castres over the past two seasons," said Williams.
"When the opportunity arose to bring him back to Belfast it seemed like a natural fit in terms of what we're trying to achieve here by developing our own local coaches for the future benefit of both Ulster and Irish Rugby."
