Utility back signs a new two-year contract

Glasgow Warriors utility back Hefin O'Hare has signed a new two-year contract with the Magners League outfit. The Scotland Sevens star joined the Warriors in September 2005 following a stint with Huddersfield Giants in Super League. The 29-year-old hopes to be involved in Sunday's Magners League trip to the Ospreys and is glad to have sorted out his future ahead of the game. He said: "I'm delighted to have extended my contract. "We've got two massive games left, starting away to the Ospreys this weekend before bringing the curtain down on our season in front of a home crowd against Connacht.

Shaping up

"The club is shaping up very nicely for the coming years with the new training base at Scotstoun and even more world-class players like Chris Cusiter joining us over the summer. "It's a very exciting time to be involved with Glasgow Warriors." Head coach Sean Lineen believes there is still more to come from the player. "Hefin epitomises the spirit of the Warriors and has a heart as big as a lion," he said. "He's still learning the game but has tonnes of enthusiasm. He brings a real energy to training and I know the best of Hefin O'Hare is yet to come."
