Perry joins Noon in signing for French side Brive for next season

Bristol scrum-half Shaun Perry has been confirmed as another English player heading to France after signing for Brive alongside compatriot Jamie Noon. Newcastle centre Noon has confirmed his move to France by signing a two-year contract with Top 14 side Brive, who have also brought in Bristol man Perry. 31-year-old Perry said he would leave the club after they were relegated from the Guinness Premiership, and he has joined the mass exodus across the English Channel to the lucrative French league. Noon, capped 38 times by England, joins Newcastle team-mate and World Cup winner Jonny Wilkinson in swapping Tyneside for France, after the fly-half signed for Brive's rivals Toulon. Perry has 14 England caps to his name and has also signed on the dotted line with Brive - who finished sixth in France's top division this season. Brive have also snapped up two more signings with South Africa's Pat Barnard and Viliame Waqaseduadua, known as Vili, of New Zealand also joining up. 28-year-old prop Barnard will also be hopping on the cross-channel ferry as he signs from Guinness Premiership side Wasps - joining the likes of Riki Flutey, James Haskell and Tom Palmer. Fiji-born winger Vili represented New Zealand at rugby league before going on to play for the Blues, Highlanders and Waikato Chiefs in Super 14.
