New signing ruptures his Achilles in training

New Wasps signing Jason Hobson is set to be sidelined for up to six months after he ruptured his Achilles in training. The prop, capped once by England, only arrived at Adams Park in the summer from Bristol after signing a two-year deal. However he suffered the serious injury during pre-season and underwent surgery to repair the damage. He now faces a lengthy rehabilitation process before he can finally make his Wasps debut. There has been some encouraging news for Wasps with Danny Cipriani, Tom Rees, Paul Sackey, George Skivington and Mark Robinson all making good progress from injury. Cipriani looks set to be fit for the start of the season after having the plate removed from his right ankle, while Rees is recovering well after surgery on his shoulder. Sackey is training with the squad in Poland as he steps up his recovery from a broken leg, Robinson is midway through his rehab after an operation on his right knee and Skivington should play some part in pre-season after successful surgery on his hip.
