Ex-Brumbies coach added to the back-room staff at Murrayfield
Edinburgh have added former Australia A and Brumbies coach Nick Scrivener to their back-room staff ahead of the new season.
Scrivener, who has spent eight years with the Brumbies, will work alongside Rob Moffat and Tom Smith in a new-look set-up.
And head coach Moffat believes Scrivener will bring valuable experience to the team.
Moffat told the club's official site: "Nick will bring lots of experience and a fresh perspective on Scottish rugby; it is an exciting time at Edinburgh Rugby Club.
"His primary role will be to deal with defence, but his remit will expand to other areas as well. It was important to find the right man for the job and I feel we have achieved that with the appointment of Nick."
Edinburgh chief executive Nic Cartwright feels Scrivener has the skills to be a success at Murrayfield.
Cartwright said: "I was really impressed with Nick's enthusiasm, professionalism and huge level of experience of coaching top-level rugby.
"His skill-set will complement an already richly talented coaching team headed up by Rob Moffat and I'm confident now we have all the required tools to take Edinburgh onto the next level in our development."
