Flanker allegedly made contact with the eye or eye area of Kennedy

Leinster flanker Shane Jennings is to face an independent disciplinary committee after he was cited during the 12-9 defeat to London Irish. The defending champions suffered the shock defeat at home on Friday - with the match marred by an incident late in the first half. Exiles lock Nick Kennedy complained furiously to the French referee Romaine Poite after Jennings allegedly made contact with his eye or eye area. And although Kennedy later admitted he had overreacted, citing commissioner Richard McGhee has ruled that Jennings has a case to answer. Jennings will now go before independent judicial officer Roger Morris on Wednesday in Dublin.
