Scotland full-back buoyed by famous win over Australia
Scotland full-back Rory Lamont believes the future is bright for the national team following their win over Australia.
A gutsy display from the Scots saw them record their win over the Wallabies in 27 years - with Andy Robinson's men holding on for a 9-8 win at Murrayfield.
Scotland were forced to defend for large periods of the game, however the resolutely dug in to produce a famous victory.
And Lamont insists the players and fans can now look ahead to Saturday's Test against Argentina and next year's RBS Six Nations with renewed confidence.
"If we can beat a team like Australia with so little possession, we can beat anyone," he said.
"I don't think there are many teams in the world that can have had so little possession and still managed to have ground out the victory.
"I think we're really lucky to have the players we have in Scotland.
"There's that attitude just to never give up.
"And while we don't have the same player numbers and we don't have the same sort of match-winning players that some other teams have, we've got a lot of guts."
