Warriors stand-off returns to Magners League
The Dragons have confirmed that fly-half Matthew Jones has been signed from Worcester Warriors and becomes another exile returning to play in Wales.
Jones, who was capped by Wales on their 2005 tour to USA, has previously played for the Ospreys 47 times making his debut for them in 2004, whilst in the two terms he has spent with the Warriors he played 31 times, amassing 121 points in total.
"I am delighted to be joining the Dragons especially after the season they have just completed," said Jones.
"In talking to the players there seems to be a great team spirit, an eagerness to improve and play an attractive style of rugby which can only be good for me.
"I am relishing challenging Jason Tovey for the number ten spot and looking forward to competing in the Magners League and Heineken Cup.'
Dragons rugby ranager Robert Beale was equally chuffed with the signing.
'We are delighted to have signed Matthew and he is another Welsh player in our squad," said Beale.
"With Jason and Matthew in our squad next year, competition for the outside have berth should be intense. "
