Trafalgar Park, Nelson

The ground is named after the Battle of Trafalgar

Trafalgar Park has been the unofficial home of the Crusaders since the earthquake in Christchurch.

Taking its name from the Battle of Trafalgar, the ground was initially used for cricket before other sports were added over the years. Trafalgar Park has hosted cricket, rugby and football, as well as concerts - while Queen Elizabeth II visited in 1954. This year's earthquake in Christchurch saw the Crusaders also use the ground for Super Rugby games Trafalgar Park has undergone upgrades to prepare it for the Rugby World Cup.
