In depth

Verdict

Low-grade sprints can throw up strange results but QUEEN OF KALAHARI sets the standard and can back up a battling success in an amateur riders' handicap at Hamilton over this trip for which she's only raised 2lb. She's is a prominent racer who seems straightforward and has assembled a consistent run of form this term whilst remaining on a feasible mark. Aghast appeals as the danger tackling his elders. He probably found 7f too far last time and returning to sprinting should suit - his best runs having come over today's trip. Always Amazing has place claims and Bold Show is noted as the sole unexposed runner who makes his handicap bow after being gelded.
