Verdict

A tight contest with KRIPKE just preferred. The Barron gelding is enjoying a solid season with his running style indicating this move up to 10f for the first time is what's required to elicit further progress. His last win came on good to firm ground so conditions should be fine. Mark Johnston makes a speciality of successfully pitching in 3-y-o's against older horses as the season progresses and Asian Angel is greatly respected in receipt of weight all round, whilst fellow 3-y-o, Great Example, seems likely to benefit from dropping down to 1m4f. Ayutthaya has plenty of weight, My Boy Sepoy disappointed latest but is better than that and Sod's Law tackles the trip for the first time.
