SALAM ZAYED relished the drop in trip the last day. On his second and third runs of the season he was beaten 23l when ninth of 10 and 13.5l when last of 11. On his next and latest outing he actually went up from Class 5 to Class 4 yet scored quite snugly at Chester down in distance. He has a 6lb penalty for that success but could be any amount in front of the handicapper if repeating the level of that latest success, especially as he now drops to Class 6. Mr Strutter came home well to score at Catterick last week, tries a mile for the first time and will be dangerous if getting the trip. A mile on quick ground suited Duchess Of Avon last time and she's respected along with Baashiq.
