Verdict
Again this is not a race to set the pulse racing, but Golden Thunderbolt hinted at a return to form when third at Sedgefield recently and is probably worth taking a chance with. He was runner-up off a ten pound higher mark on Boxing Day, so is clearly well treated. Fraser's Lad has been absent for some time, but would have claims on his victory at Market Rasen last summer, while Noshinannikin finds himself ten pounds higher than when scraping home at Hexham last week, but should still be in the shake-up in this weak race. That remark also applies to Scoop Thirty Nine, winner of a very poor seller at Sedgefield last month.
