Wasps' director of rugby Dai Young moved for the 27-year-old loosehead after Simon McIntyre and Alex Lundberg suffered ankle injuries.

"We've been left a little short with the injuries to Simon McIntyre and Alex Lundberg so we're pleased to be able to add someone of Ben's ability to the squad," he said.

Huddersfield-born prop Harris appeared 65 times for Yorkshire Carnegie over a three-year spell, before signing a two-year deal at Newcastle.
