South Africa international JP Pietersen has signed for Toulon, despite having only completed one season of his three-year contract with Leicester Tigers in the Premiership.
The 30-year-old's arrival at the Stade Mayol comes after Australian back James O'Connor left the Top 14 club to join Sale Sharks on his own three-year deal.
The winger, who has earned 70 caps for the Springboks, joined the Tigers last summer and made 14 starts and one appearance from the bench in the 2016/17 campaign, scoring three tries.
