The jump jockeys have struggled to complete with the flat boys in previous runnings of this contest but may reverse the trend here with Pab Special, under Graham Lee, looking to hold solid claims on the evidence of his latest start and he gets the vote ahead of Scamperdale and White Bear. The last two mentioned both come here on the back of wins on the all-weather last time and have gone up in the weights since, with marginal preference of the pair for White Bear who may be open to further improvement after just the one start this year. Tim Easterby has his string in good form so lack of a run for Harvest Warrior may not be of too much concern, while Dark Charm is gradually slipping down the handicap but may need some more assistance. Pab Special remains favourably well treated though and he gets the vote.
