In depth

Verdict

Inchlaggan showed enough on his return at Nottingham recently to suggest that a race of this nature would be within his compass and the Barry Hills-trained colt gets the vote to gain a deserved success with the main threats looking to be Coastal Command and Flavius. The last mentioned is bred to be useful and Sir Michael Stoute has made a decent start to the campaign so he has to be considered, particularly if the market speaks in his favour. Peter Chapple-Hyam's Feeling was pulled up after his bit slipped when making his debut in Italy and could be anything, while Demisemiquaver is another bred to be useful but should want further. Luca Cumani's Mad Rush showed some promise on his debut and has claims although a more solid chance is probably held by Coastal Command, who ran rather green on his Kempton debut and may have improved since that run in December. Inchlaggan certainly has the best form on offer though and he looks the one that they all have to beat.
