Wade understood to have played his final game of rugby union

England winger Christian Wade has quit Wasps to seek a career in the NFL, Sky Sports News understands.
Wade is third in the list of all-time try scorers in the Premiership with 82 tries but has only earned one cap for England, back in 2013, and that is believed to be a big factor in his decision to leave rugby union.
Wasps released a statement on Friday evening, which said: "The club are aware of speculation regarding the future of Christian Wade.
"Unfortunately, we are unable to make any comment at this time but hope to be able to provide an update in the coming days.
"We will be making no further comment in the meantime."
Wade was called up to the British & Irish Lions squad as cover on the tour of Australia in 2013, playing one match against the Brumbies.
Ahead of this season, Wade, while on a three-week holiday in America, worked with an NFL-style footwork coach nicknamed Speedy Gonzalez who he discovered on Instagram.
Wade is not the first to trade rugby union for the NFL, with Alex Gray and Christian Scotland-Williamson both making the switch in the last year.
Gray left Yorkshire Carnegie to join the Atlanta Falcons in 2017, while Scotland-Williamson signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2018 after departing Worcester Warriors.
