Toulon back Delon Armitage will miss the European Champions Cup final against Clermont after fracturing his hand.
The Englishman suffered the injury in the thrilling 25-20 semi-final win against Leinster on Sunday and will be sidelined for up to four weeks, ruling him out of the May 2 final at Twickenham.
The news is a blow for coach Bernard Laporte, for whom Armitage has been a consistent performer since he joined the club from London Irish.
He has been playing predominantly as a winger since the arrival of Leigh Halfpenny, the Welshman occupying the No 15 shirt.
Toulon could become the first club to win the title in three successive seasons.
