Six Nations: David Wilson adds to England injury woes

England's injury-hit preparations for next weekend's Six Nations opener in Wales have hit further with the news that David Wilson is battling a nerve problem in his neck.
Newcastle prop Kieran Brookes has been called into England's senior squad from the second-string Saxons as cover but coach Stuart Lancaster is hoping Wilson will recover in time. Brookes has six caps after making his Test debut in New Zealand last summer.
Lancaster said: "We have brought Kieran in as cover at tight-head as a precaution because Davey has a small nerve impingement which should settle down."
England could be without 10 injured regulars for the match in Cardiff on Friday week, with Kyle Eastmond, Geoff Parling, Tom Wood and Brad Barritt still struggling to be fit.
Lancaster has described Barritt and Parling's chances of facing the Welsh as 'very unlikely', while Eastmond and Wood remain long-shots.
England must do without Courtney Lawes, Joe Launchbury, Ben Morgan, Manu Tuilagi and fly-half Owen Farrell for the testing trip to the Millennium stadium.
London Irish centre Shane Geraghty has joined up with England's training squad despite not being named in either the senior or Saxons party.
"I didn't want to cause any further disruption to the Saxons so Shane's addition is a good opportunity for him on the back of good form and helps us to train with appropriate numbers on Friday," said Lancaster.
