Kevin Sinfield has made his first appearance for Yorkshire Carnegie since switching codes last month.

The former Leeds Rhinos captain enjoyed a brief cameo in the final stages of Carnegie's 32-10 win over Ospreys Premiership Select at Headingley on Sunday.

The 35-year-old came off the bench with 15 minutes to go and enjoyed mixed success on his debut - kicking one penalty, whilst missing another late on.

The victory moves Carnegie top of their British and Irish Cup pool, level on points with London Scottish. The Yorkshire club will now face a Munster A side away at Kinsale on Friday night.

Sinfield only joined Carnegie last month on an 18-month contract but has impressed head coach Bryan Redpath since his arrival in rugby union.

The former England international played over 500 games for the Rhinos and helped guide them to a historical treble last season in his final campaign for the club.
