Coach Lyn Jones wants the Ospreys to keep the pressure on Gloucester ahead of their Pool Two match next month. Jones saw his side thrash Ulster 48-17 in Swansea to collect a welcome bonus point and move ahead of Bourgoin into second place in the pool. And with Gloucester set to arrive for a return match in Swansea in January, they are guaranteed to receive a warm welcome. Jones said: "We are satisfied with the result. It was a good night for us. "You cannot win the Heineken Cup before Christmas, but you can certainly lose it, and we just need to keep the pressure on Gloucester. "Rugby is about confidence, and things are building slowly. "If we can go to Ravenhill next Friday night and beat Ulster then it will set us up for a huge clash against Gloucester in the New Year." Ulster's caretaker-coach, former Wales international Steve Williams, admitted: "We were out-gunned and out-powered at times. "We have just got to work hard and keep plugging away to get ourselves out of the situation we are in. "There is no other option but to roll up our sleeves. I could not question the players' commitment but we perhaps were a bit slow of thought at times and stood off a little bit in defence."
