Samoan centre swaps Sale for London Irish
Samoan centre Elvis Seveali'I has agreed to join London Irish from Sale Sharks in time for the new season.
The 30-year-old arrives at the Exiles with a wealth of experience having been capped 15 times by his country and previously played for Wellington, Bath and Ospreys before joining Sale in 2005.
And Irish head coach Toby Booth has welcomed the addition to his squad.
"Elvis will enhance and add depth to our potent midfield," said Booth.
"He shares the same work and playing ethos as Seilala Mapusua and brings valuable international and Premiership experience to us."
Mapusua, along with Sailosi Tagicakibau , played a key role in seeing Seveali'I join, with the powerful back relishing the chance to play alongside his two pals.
He said: "I'm looking forward to playing for London Irish. Having played against the club, I like the style of rugby the team plays and I'm also looking forward to linking up with my friends Seilala Mapusua and Sailosi Tagicakibau."
