Ruddock praise for points-machine Walker
Saracens head coach Brendan Venter was in upbeat mood despite watching his side fail to win for the first time this season after a 12-12 draw at Worcester.
Venter said: "I thought our team played really well. I don't think we have played that well and been 9-3 down at half-time before.
"There were so many opportunities out there for us to score tries but we have got two points and we keep going.
"I'm proud of the team. I'll tell them when I'm unhappy and tonight is not one of them."
As for the lack of tries, Venter added: "We are the only team that have scored in every game (before tonight).
"It is very easy to say 'Let's chuck it around' but the reality is it is not easy."
Worcester rugby director Mike Ruddock was happy to come away with a draw.
He said: "At 9-3 at half-time I thought we were going to press on and win the game if we played as accurately in the second half as we did in the first.
"Unfortunately, we were not quite as accurate and, for 20 minutes of the second half, we allowed Sarries to put us under pressure.
"They got a few penalties and nudged ahead so it was a good effort from our boys to come back against them because not many teams are doing that."
Ruddock also praised Willie Walker, who has now scored every point in Worcester's last three Premiership games and landed a penalty almost from the touchline with six minutes to go to level the game.
"It was a great kick by Willie and great temperament by him to nail that from out wide. It was not an easy kick at all so full marks to him."
